The curriculum we use will depend on the age of your child. For American History, we will use America's Story 1. For all other classes, the curriculum will be drawn from various sources to create a unique learning experience specifically for our students.
Each child's home education is their parents' responsibility. We are not a substitute for home education but rather a tool in your toolbox to help you reach your homeschooling goals. We provide optional materials that you can use to continue the learning journey at home; however, these are optional.
CHAMPS will provide optional materials that parents can choose to use to continue the journey of what we are learning at CO-OP. However, this work is optional and will not be turned in. If your child is in American History, we ask that you read the chapter with them, however this is not mandatory
Our K-2 students will take science, art, geography, math games, and PE. Our older students will take science, art, American history, math games, and PE. Although they will have some of the same class titles, they will be learning different material. Their material will be age-appropriate for their age group.
Our director, Rachel Suarez, lives in Coral Springs and homeschools her own children. She attends Real Life Church, where our classes are held. Rachel would love to meet you and hear your heart for homeschooling and our community.
A snack , lunch and a water bottle. All items brought in should be labeled with students names on them. From time to time, teachers will ask parents to send in materials such as toilet paper rolls, however this is voluntary.
Championship Academy is not a daycare or a school. We are a tool to help enhance your child's (and your) homeschool experience. Parents are responsible for homeschooling their child.
For the protection of our children at Champions Academy does NOT allow any electronics such as cell phones, smart watches, tablets, etc. Please keep them at home. Parents will have the direct cell phone numbers of all directors and instructors in case of emergency.
As of right now, CHAMPIONS Academy operates on a reimbursement-only basis. However, we have begun the process to become a direct PEP provider. More information will be provided once the approval process is complete. The approval should be finalized no later than the end of May.
We ask each parent to volunteer 1 or 2 days (depending on your schedule) to be with your child. You will stay with your child all day and experience all of the fun and excitement that they experience every Monday.
Each class will have a class mom who will be responsible for maintaining a WhatsApp group for all parents, planning class parties (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Resurrection Celebration), and organizing park days/field trips. Participation in park days/field trips is completely voluntary.
We will have a park play date in June, July and August so that your child can meet the other students who will be in their classes.
